Two courts in Caroline County handle DUI cases and other civil and criminal matters: the Circuit Court of Caroline County, and the District Court. The Circuit Court of Caroline County is located at 109 Market Street in Denton, Maryland. The court’s office is open Monday through Friday, except on scheduled legal holiday, between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM. For general information, call 410-479-1811.
From the Baltimore area, you can reach the circuit court by driving south on I-97 until reaching US 50 East / US 301 heading toward the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Merge onto exit US 50 E toward Ocean City and travel approximately 31 miles. Reaching Maryland Route 404 (Queen and Highway) turn left and continue to Denton, Maryland for approximately 13 miles to your destination. Route 404 becomes Market Street in Denton. The Circuit Court will be on your left. Parking is available in a non-fee parking lot.
Caroline County District Court
In addition to the Circuit Court of Caroline County, the District Court also hears civil cases along with misdemeanor cases and some felonies. The District Court Is located at the Multi-Service Center at 207 S. 3rd St. in Denton, Maryland. Like the Circuit Court, they are open between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday except on any scheduled legal holiday. The court office can be reached at 410-819-4600.
